As ICT Apprentice you will provide technical support to students and staff ensuring ICT equipment facilitates a quality learning experience in our school. The ICT Department operates centrally across the academy. You will work to diagnose and support first line issues as well as working on bigger projects as directed by the ICT Network Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside and supporting the ICT Network Manager, you will manage on a cost effective basis, the update, supply, installation, maintenance and repair of the school’s ICT hardware and software including the schools website, VLE, interactive whiteboards, multimedia projectors, video conferencing, sound systems, and all other similar or replacement equipment, etc. This includes any hardware or software connected to or accessed through the school’s network, wireless or web links. Accountability includes responding to notified faults within a reasonable time frame, keeping staff informed of progress
- Understand and maintain ICT logs such as security incident, support etc.
