PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) 2021
Since September 2020, it has been a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) as a fundamental part of the curriculum. At the UTC, our RSE curriculum is fully embedded in our wider Values in Practice programme which supports our mission statement of enabling students to flourish in their professional and private lives.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with students, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content. Our aim is to consult whenever we update our RSE curriculum.
Following consultation with the parents and carers, we are delivering our RSE curriculum in full from September 2021.
