GCSE’s 2023
May and June 2023 saw our first ever GCSE exams being sat here at Pegasus. Students were well supported with extra time, movement breaks and some with their own rooms and music playing. The results were a reflection of the hard work and resilience of our students and their teachers. One of our students even achieved a grade 9 in English Language – the highest grade possible (or an A** equivalent to the old-style grades)! Not all students here sat the full suite of GCSE grades as functional skills qualifications are more appropriate for some. Students achieved strong grades in these exams too. We continue to offer a bespoke set of qualifications which takes into consideration the needs and interests of our students. It’s not all about GCSEs but we do enter students whenever possible so that post 16 choices are as wide as they can be.
