At the UTC, we are committed to removing barriers to learning for all our students so that they thrive academically and emotionally. This is a highly visible role at the heart of our community which involves working very closely with students to enable them to reach their full potential.

As a member of the Values in Practice team you will facilitate the positive academic, social, moral and cultural development of students as well as their health and well-being. You will provide 1-2-1 guidance and support, and be a key point of contact in our pastoral and behaviour systems.

You will be somebody who is able to build positive relationships with young people while maintaining firm boundaries so that alongside their academic development, they are well-prepared for life beyond the UTC.

SGS Berkeley Green UTC opened in September 2017 with outstanding facilities, in a state-of-the-art building. We provide specialist, high quality technical and academic education for 14-19 students with a strong interest in Engineering and Digital Technologies including Cyber Security. Although we are a specialist centre, the core subjects are very much the foundations on which all else rests.

The UTC is still small but growing, with around 280 students on roll from September 2021. For the right candidate, this will provide a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a school, to get to know every student and every member of staff, and to make a real difference to outcomes for young people.

Join us, and make a real difference.
