Full Time Equivalent Salary Range: Up to £25,158 pro rata per annum

Actual Salary Range: Up to £21,832.26 pro rata per annum

*Based on Contract Type & Hours

(Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)

Term Time Only Contracts will occur a salary adjustment if the start date is after 1st September

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 31st August 2020

Hours: Up to 37 hours per week and 39 working weeks per year

SGS Academy Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, which was formed in response to the request of the Regional Schools Commissioner, Sir David Carter in November 2014.  South Gloucestershire and Stroud College sponsor the Trust, and their size and range of expertise forms the basis of the support for schools within the Trust.

The School provides a personalised, multi-disciplinary and evidence-based approach to support young people to learn and thrive.

SGS Berkeley Green UTC opened in September 2017. As the first University Technical College (UTC) in Gloucestershire, Berkeley Green aspires to combine outstanding academic and technical education.

SGS Pegasus School are seeking an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can inspire our pupils, work closely with families and be part of the SGS Pegasus team. Our Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) are employed from 8.30am – 4.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

To ensure continuity for our pupils, HLTAs are be part of a rota for playground and lunch duties. We will ensure you receive the support and breaks you need during the day but we are looking for a HLTA who is flexible to fulfil a variety of roles throughout the school day.
As a HLTA you will be responsible for covering teaching when required, and will lead on school wide awards while maintaining the standards set through staff training, and planning and delivery of enrichment afternoons through community links and staff. We offer a comprehensive training programme to develop our HLTAs skills and knowledge.
