Full Time Equivalent Salary Range: £24,510.00 – £41,610.00 pro rata per annum

Plus a TLR of £2,799.00 may be available to a suitably qualified candidate

(Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)

Contract Type: Permanent, Part/Full-time

Hours: 22.2 (0.6 FTE)-37 per week (Hours subject to agreement with the successful candidate)

We are looking to recruit a teacher of Physics (with Maths) who is enthusiastic about their subject, and can inspire wonder and curiosity in students. The successful candidate will teach Science and Physics at GCSE, alongside A Level Physics.

Ideally, the post-holder would also teach some Maths at GCSE, A Level, or as part of the level 3 BTEC in Engineering.  In addition, a TLR as Lead Teacher of Science may be available to an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate.  The post is advertised at 0.6 – full-time, and the timetable will be tailored to suit the working hours of the post-holder.

SGS Berkeley Green UTC opened in September 2017 with outstanding facilities, in a state-of-the-art building.  We provide specialist, high quality technical and academic education for 14-19 students with a strong interest in Engineering and Digital Technologies including Cyber Security.  Although we are a specialist centre, the core subjects are very much the foundations on which all else rests.  Developing learners who are confident, fluent and creative is a priority for us.  As the first University Technical College (UTC) in Gloucestershire, Berkeley Green aspires to combine outstanding academic and technical education. We are committed to developing our students into the STEM experts of tomorrow by working closely with our employer partners to deliver an exciting, industry relevant curriculum.
