SGS Forest High School have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary until appointment of Apprentice

Hours: 27 hours per week + 1 hour daily from 17.00-18.00

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Focus on improving the reading, literacy and numeracy of students to age appropriate levels
  • Help students to develop organisational skills and become more effective, independent learners
  • Maintain awareness of student’s individual needs and appropriate strategies for addressing them
  • Other site duties

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Dedicated & highly effective in supporting SEND students
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 qualified
  • Ability to respond to individual needs by modifying and adapting strategies and resources
